Harmesh Story

Harmesh was rescued from Doraha Chauraha, Bareilly. He used to climb on the middle divider on the main Pilibhit road and used to give hand to the motorists, he used to roam around the road, unaware of any kind of accident, since he spoke Punjabi, the people living there called him Gave him the name Lakkha and came to be known by that name, Vahan no one knew his correct name as Harmesh had forgotten himself and was unable to tell the correct name.

He was rescued on with the help of police constable Vinod and home guard Nizamul Hasan of Baradari police station and shown to Mental Hospital, Bareilly where he was treated for a year. During the counselling, he told his correct name Harmesh and said that his maternal uncle lives near Modi College, Patiala but he still could not remember the exact address.

When I went to Patiala to find his relatives, after a lot of searching I found his uncle's house but came to know that his uncle had passed away. Harmesh had an aunt at home who told that Harmesh had been gone for many years and must have died. He called his son who was in the Punjab Police. Talked to Harmesh's cousin and when they were shown Harmesh's photo, they were convinced that Harmesh is still alive. Hermesh's cousins ​​and aunts were very happy.

At the same time Harmesh's cousin gave Rs 2,000 to the team. At that time the bank account of the organization was not even opened till August 2015, but with the help of Rs 2,000, the bank account of the organization was opened in Union Bank of India. The very next day, his maternal aunt and maternal brother came to Bareilly to pick up Harmesh and became very emotional seeing their brother. He could not believe that his Harmesh was still alive.

He told that Harmesh was a national level truck driver but suddenly he went missing, he also took the help of the police to find him but he could not be found. Harmesh was missing for 14 years. Harmesh's parents had passed away in his childhood, so he was brought up in his maternal grandfather. After almost a year of treatment at the Mental Hospital, Bareilly, Harmesh was reunited with his near and dear ones.

Mangaram Story

Mangaram was sitting near the petrol pump in front of the school in Bareilly, with rotten food in his hands which he was eating. Our team looked at him, at first he seemed just mentally deranged, but after observing him properly, it was found that he has a very serious wound in his right leg, which is called gangrene in medical language.

Then he was shown to the district hospital where the doctor advised to amputate his leg and said that if the leg is not amputated, gangrene will spread to the whole body, which can even kill the patient. The non-cooperative behavior of the patient in such a critical condition was also a big challenge in his treatment, in such a situation the help of Apna Ghar Ashram organization was taken in his interest.

After the successful treatment of the patient, when he told his address, he was introduced to his family members. The relatives told that he was missing for one and a quarter years, whom the family searched a lot but could not find any trace. Mangaram was married and had 1 son and 3 daughters. While Mangaram got a new life, his children got the shadow of their father again.

Deepak Das Story

Deepak Das used to lie on the divider near District Hospital, Bareilly. On talking to people, it came to know that they speak Bengali, they did not know Hindi language at all. On talking to him, he told himself to be a resident of Midnipur, West Bengal and apart from this he could not reveal anything else.

There was a big wound due to a deep injury in his waist. This wound was so deep that Deepak could not even sit properly. He was also taken to his home ashram from where he was shifted to Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation, Mumbai to reunite with his family.

Deepak underwent mental treatment in Shraddha and after undergoing mental treatment there, Deepak was taken to Midnipur to meet his family, where his relatives met, they told that Deepak was missing for 3 years. The family itself told that Deepak used to do lottery work there, but due to the work being done, he went to Delhi in search of work, from where no news of his search was received. Deepak was very happy to reach his home.
